Russell Webb

Scottish bassist - songwriter - producer - video game designer - TV and radio music composer
Born in 1958 in Glasgow, Scotland
He replaced [a=Jim McGinlay] in [a=Slik] shortly before their demise (triggered by the departure of [a=Midge Ure] to [a=Rich Kids]) - however, the only recorded work featuring Webb is their 1977 punk single as [a=PVC2]. He subsequently continued with the remaining members of the band as [a=Zones (2)]. He became the bassist with [a=Skids], joining the group in 1980 replacing the original bass player [a=Bill Simpson]. Webb was also responsible for producing some of the groups work, including the ill-received final album 'Joy'. In 1983 he joined [a=The Armoury Show] and after their demise, he replaced bassist [a=Allan Dias] in [a=Public Image Limited] in 1992.
