Carla L. Benson
Singer, born in Camden, New Jersey. Formed a vocal trio with her cousin [a=Barbara Ingram] and friend [a=Evette Benton] in the early 1970s. Known as The Sweethearts of Sigma, [a2416241], [a363546] or The Sweeties the trio sang backing vocals on numerous Philadelphia-based recordings during the 1970s and early 1980s.
