Leon René (b.February 6, 1902, Covington, Louisiana, USA – d.May 30, 1982, Los Angeles, California, USA) was an American music composer of R&B and rock and roll songs in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s. He also established several record labels, most notably Exclusive, Excelsior and Class. Brother of [a=Otis Rene] and father of [a=Googie Rene].
