Академический симфонический оркестр Московской филармонии - one of the top symphony orchestras.
Established in September 1951 through the merger of Small symphony orchestra (Малый симфонический оркестр ВР) and opera orchestra (Оперный оркестр ВР) All-union radio, in April 1953 transfered to the Moscow Philharmonic, since 1973 - Academic.
