Rage aka En-rage are the producers [a=Barry Leng] and [a=Duncan Hannant]. The project featured vocals by [a=Tony Jackson] and later on by [a=Steve Lee].
Not to be confused with the metal band of the same name (see [a354918]).
Under the name Rage they released their first single in the end of 1992 : Run To You (a cover of a [a=Bryan Adams] song) was a big hit in Germany, reaching # 71 in the Best of Charts, and peaked at # 14 between January and February 1993. It was #3 - UK Charts between October and November 1992 and #12 in the Netherlands Singles Chart in 1992. Since, Run To You was also covered by [a=Jaymz Bee] and more recently [a=Novaspace].
The first (and the only) album was called Saviour, all sung by [a=Tony Jackson], containing all the first hits. Then came the single Give It Up, still released in 1993. It was a cover of a single originally released by [a=Creation] (from the same producers, under [l=Deconstruction] records)
The next single was entitled Why Don't You, out in 1994, and it was included on the compilation Ronny's Pop Show Vol. 21. It featured the voice of Tony Jackson.
The follow-up and last single House Of The Rising Sun, still with Tony Jackson's voice, was featured on the compilation Hot & Fresh. It was an cover of a traditional song already covered by the the French megastar [a=Johnny Hallyday] under the name Les portes du pénitencier. A video was shot, directed by Lindy Heymann.
All the singles were released under Pulse 8 Records (London) in UK and Intercord in Germany.
In 1995 a single entitled My Crying's Done was released, still under Pulse 8 Records in the UK, and under CNR in the Netherlands.
