Pete Barnacle

British drummer, born February 23, 1959 in Aldershot, England.
Started drumming at age 10, and made his first live performance at age 11.

1975-76: Barnacle (this band included his brothers and their dad).
Moved from Dover to London in 1976, where his professional career started.

1977: - Fury (signed to Arista in 1977, but nothing was released. Lineup: Steve Barnacle / Jeb Million / Peter Barnacle / D.O'Neil)
1977: - Sonja Kristina UK Tour.
1978: - Gillan
1979: - Broken Home
1981: - Girl
1982: - Hard Rain (no commercial releases with Pete).
1983-84: - Julien Clerc (French artist).
1985: - Strange Cruise (featuring Steve Strange).
1985: - Sessions for La Unión (Spanish act).
1986: - Sessions for Mecano (Spanish act).
1987-92: - Spear Of Destiny / Theatre Of Hate
1990: - Yngwie Malmsteen (Michael Von Knorring had to back out a few dates into the Scandinavian part of the European Eclipse tour due to health reasons. Pete completed the tour.)
1991-93: - Sheer Greed
1992: - Misha Calvin
1992-94: - SPQR (with Kirk Brandon, who dropped out after a few months).
1996: - Quit the music business and moved to Japan, where he started teaching English.
2001: - Soldiers Of Fortune (alongside teaching, Pete returned to the drum chair with a new Japanese band for live gigs and recording of a new album).

Pete Barnacle played on the 1979 "Gillan" LP, and toured Japan. He later joined "Broken Home" and later "Girl" for their 1982 "Wasted Youth" LP, playing alongside Phil Collen (who was soon to join Def Leppard). He played on "Strange Cruise"'s self titled debut LP in 1986 before joining "Spear Of Destiny" in 1987, playing on three albums: "Outland" (1987), "Price You Pay" (1988) and "SOD's Law" (1992). This band also toured in 1991 billed as "Theatre Of Hate". Pete now lives in Japan, teaching English, and was last seen playing drums in the Japanese band Soldiers Of Fortune.
