Mark de Clive-Lowe
Born: 1974 in New Zealand. Jazz keyboardist, music producer, composer, artist, and club DJ.
His earliest recordings were made in 1991 with New Zealand urban-soul groups Sisters Underground and Select1. He released his first official album in 1996 as part of the group Jazz In The Present Tense on New Zealand's [l=Tap Records (3)]. He recorded two solo albums for the label in 1997.
Subsequently he moved to Japan, attended Boston's Berklee College of Music and then spent several years based in London during the 2000s, working on several projects, including club nights, running label [l=Antipodean Records], remix work and releasing his own music across many labels.
Currently settled in Los Angeles and continuing to tour widely. Whilst de Clive-Lowe is a jazz musician at heart, he covers numerous genres in contemporary music. In LA, he's running several club nights, including "Church" (also in NYC, DC and Oakland), "Scored" and "ETCetera". Also running his new label Mashibeats.
