Professional italian eurobeat & disco singer born in San Donato Milanese, Italy in 1960.

She has performed and recorded for many record labels, under many aliases. Her music was produced by various well-known Italian producers, namely Giacomo Maiolini, Mauro Farina, Sergio Dall'Ora and Giancarlo Pasquini. She often collaborated with Clara Moroni, who wrote many of her compositions. Moroni also did most of the backing vocals/choirs for Ferretti's songs for Time Records. Together with Moroni she was a member of the duo Gipsy & Queen. In 2011 she recorded and released an Italian folk song entitled "Io Libera". Among her best known hits is the song "My World" (as Sophie).

In 1984 as Veronique she released her debut single, "Dream On Violin". Her most recent single is "Bye Bye Japan", a cover of Vanessa's song from 1996 (sung by Emanuela Gubinelli), which was released in November 2010 (as Alexis).

Under the Sophie pseudonym she recorded 3 albums: My World (1989), The Only Reason (1991) and Stop The Music (1995), which contains covers of Blondie's "Rapture" and Cock Robin's "The Promise You Made".

Most of her work throughout the 1990s was recorded for compilation albums such as Super Eurobeat, Maharaja Night, Eurobeat Flash, and many more.

Ferretti also performs with the Igor Cantarini Band. In 2007 she appeared in Teatro Alberti and performed Anastacia's "Not That Kind". The following year she performed "Di Sole E D'Azzuro" on the Italian show Musicainsieme.

In 2009, the album Super Eurobeat presents Valentina: Special Collection was available to buy on iTunes. It contains the hits of Valentina.

She is currently under the management of Eurogrooves and Sergio Dall'Ora.
