Jas van Houten aka Nether Man is a Dutch producer from Zoetermeer who's producing dance-music for a few years.
His entirely own style -varied from funky to progessive/trance- has not been unnoticed by DJs at all & has reached various dance-charts.
His interests in making music has always been present, but he just started to buy some studio-gear round 1995 with some friends (Joff Roach, Tim J).
A few years later he decided to sign a contract with BPM-Dance and soon he got recognition from various DJs.
His co-operations with DJ Melvin and DJ the Freak also were very successful. Big ones like "Din Dah" -which was made in cooperation with The Freak- had reached UK's most important dance chart of Judge Jules and was re-released on Nebula Records.
Important remixes like "Access" (DJ Misjah & DJ Tim) are also made by Jas van Houten.
In 2000 he decided to leave BPM-dance, signed a contract with Tripoli Trax (Pure Groove)
and did various releases and remixes under the name "Netherman".
In 2002 came back to BPM-dance and released the track "Heavens Gate" -which was played by famous DJs like Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Ferry Corsten and many more - certainly he left BPM-dance again.........
At this moment he's releasing his stuff on Shah Records (Germany). His new release "Loco Love" is out now !!
